Mukhtar Tawfiq, head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, confirmed that as of July 1, 2023, no company will be allowed to import, export, or deal with the customs system (in force) unless it deals with and issues electronic invoices for taxation, pointing out that there is a network connection between the databases of the invoice system.
