Academic Qualifications
Osama Sleem obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ain Shams University with a general grade of “Good” in 2008. He is currently pursuing the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) certification, as well as the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and (CPS).
Osama Sleem’s Experience in Accounting and Auditing
His Early Career
Upon graduating from university in August 2008, Osama Sleem joined AHG Chartered Accountants, one of the leading accounting firms in Egypt and the Middle East. He remained with the firm until July 2012, accumulating around four years of experience.
It is worth mentioning that Osama Sleem initially joined AHG Chartered Accountants as a trainee, just like his peers. However, through his dedication and the full support of Dr. Ahmed Maher Hassanein, CEO of AHG Chartered Accountants, he was able to become the CEO’s right hand and was responsible for the office from 2009 to 2012, the year he left the firm.
Professional Career Development
After leaving AHG Chartered Accountants, Osama Sleem worked in several companies specializing in accounting and auditing. He joined one of the leading companies in this field in 2012 and continued for two years until he left with the title of mid-level accountant.
Then, he went to Saudi Arabia and worked at the office of Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Hamli & Partners, a representative member of the MGI Worldwide network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This company is licensed by the Saudi Society of Certified Public Accountants, providing financial statement auditing, zakat, taxes, economic and administrative consulting, accounting consulting, risk management, and internal auditing services through its four branches in Riyadh, Dammam, Al-Ahsa, and Jeddah. He worked at this office for eight years in the Jeddah branch until he was promoted to Deputy Audit Manager in 2021 and remained in this position for nearly two years.
In December 2022, Osama Sleem returned to Egypt after spending about eight years in Saudi Arabia. He started a new job at Khaled Shaban’s office, which is affiliated with PKF in Saudi Arabia. Khaled Shaban is the Managing Director of PKF Saudi Arabia – Jeddah branch. He worked at that office as an Audit Manager for a short period and was a team leader of about eight people.
Osama Sleem’s Current Work
After leaving AHG Chartered Accountants for eleven years, Osama Sleem returned to the firm in December 2023 to be the Audit Manager and is still working there.
His Most important Achievements
During his work in Saudi Arabia, Sleem conducted audits for several major companies, including American Saudi Company and Rak Ceramics in Jeddah, a subsidiary of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. He also conducted audits for other major companies in Egypt, such as La Poire, Cairo Metro, Misr Glass Manufacturing Company, and Al Haytham Mining Company.
